About Incinerator Bottom Ash (IBA)
IBA is the gray wet bottom ash discharged from the bottom of the boiler after the municipal solid waste is incinerated by the grate incinerator process for power generation.
Ingredients Content
IBA moisture content 10.5% - 19.0%, mainly by the bottom ash, glass, ceramic debris, iron and other metals, and some other non-combustible substances, as well as incomplete combustion of organic matter composed of uneven mixture.
Physical and Chemical Properties
IBA particle size distribution is mainly concentrated in the range of 2-50mm (61.1% - 77.2%). The dissolved salt content of bottom ash is low, only 0.8% - 1.0%, which will not pollute groundwater due to dissolved salt. The pH buffer capacity of bottom ash is strong, initial pH value is above 11.5,which can effectively inhibit leaching of heavy metals.
Application & Usage
The treated IBA can be used as main raw material to make burning-free bricks with content over 80% (including aggregates), turning waste into treasure and turning harm into benefit. Burning-free bricks do not use clay as raw material and coal as fuel. The bricks have regular appearance and high product density, and each technical index is better than that of clay sinteredbricks.
